Hi! My name is Cedar, and I’m the creator behind Content With Coffee. I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m a Registered Nurse with experience working in a cardiac rehab and a cardiac ICU, helping people recover from cardiac procedures/diagnoses. Because nursing wasn’t allowing me to fully exercise my passion for exercise and nutrition, in 2017 I also became a NASM-certified personal trainer.
However, if there’s one thing my friends and family know about me, it’s that I love to keep challenging myself. I still wasn’t getting to explore all the different parts of health and wellness that I wanted in my cardiac rehab nursing role and was only able to share my knowledge with a small amount of people.
Cue Content With Coffee!
The blog starts
I started this blog as a way to share all I’ve learned (and continue learning!) in the realm of health and wellness. I believe that our overall contentment can be attributed to three categories: nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being. I’ve seen firsthand what can happen if you don’t take care of all three of these, and I thoroughly believe that prevention is the best treatment.
While my posts are about my own experiences, they also reflect the most up-to-date information on these topics, without making it so sciency-sounding <– case in point! On this blog, you’ll get all the tools to you need to make healthy living understandable, simplified, and fun!

Why Content With Coffee?
So why did I name it Content With Coffee?
I absolutely LOVE coffee. I always have at least one cup a day, but not because it wakes me up. In fact, I don’t really think caffeine has much of an effect on me. Sure, if I downed 5+ shots of espresso I’d probably be the most jittery person in the room – but one? Not so much.
But I learned very quickly that a cup of coffee just makes me happy. Having a warm cup in the morning makes me feel so cozy and content.
When I write my posts for this blog, I’m sitting here drinking a steaming mug of coffee more often than not. And since I post at 6:00 AM CST, you can read the content while drinking your morning cup of coffee too!
With the importance of mental wellness becoming increasingly recognized, it’s important to identify the little things in our day that make us happy. And this blog has definitely become one of those things for me.
